2012-07-15 18:16

Johannesburg - Two people have frozen to death in Mqanduli and Mthatha in the Eastern Cape.

It's believed they are the first victims of the severe weather which has hit the country.

The bodies were found on different roadsides on Sunday morning, the police's Lieutenant Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela said.

He said they probably had succumbed to the weather.

One was a 44-year-old woman from the Ikhwezi township who was returning home from a traditional ceremony.

The other was a 69-year-old man.

Rip. Such needless deaths and yet a daily occurrence. I pray that God will welcome their souls and I am glad that their suffering is over. We must all get out of our warm houses, off our well fed arses and go help those with no food, shelter etc.
