Johannesburg - Two KwaZulu-Natal men have been arrested for a spate of robberies in Umhlali and Ballito, north of Durban, police said on Friday.
Acting on a tip-off, police found the men, both aged 27, in Umlazi, south of Durban, on Thursday morning. They had robbed several businesses at gunpoint, said Captain Thulani Zwane.
"These suspects are part of a gang which has terrorised businesses around the Umhlali and Ballito areas," said Zwane.
He said the crimes were committed between September 1 and October 4. They were caught on CCtv at some of the shops they robbed.
They would appear in the Umhlali Periodical Court on Monday on charges of armed robbery.
