UDM march over service delivery

2011-06-09 13:46

Johannesburg - The United Democratic Movement marched against poor service delivery in Dukathole, Germiston on Thursday, spokesperson Patrick Nkosi said.

About 60 people marched from the Dukathole taxi rank to the Ekurhuleni Municipality.

"We will be submitting two memorandums, one to the mayor and one to the SAPS.

"One of the issues for the mayor is the illegal disconnection of electricity in Extension Eight and Nine in Dukathole," he said.

The march, escorted by metro police, started on Thursday morning.

At around 10:00, Nkosi said the march was going well with no problems.

How does a march "go well"???? Things are not "well" if you are marching...

      Barry - 2011-06-09 14:17

They have made a laughing stock of themselves. Early this morning they threw stones in Lenasia and now they march in Germiston. Oooooh these people. They voted ANC and what you see is what you get. Good for them let them march in this bitterly cold weather.I feel nothing for them. They thought that when you vote ANC you will get 3 months in a year JANUARY ,FEBRUARY, MARCH,MARCH, MARCH ,MARCH, MARCH hHa Ha Ha Ha Ha Good for them They should have voted DA

      ray.antigay - 2011-06-09 14:28

Let them march straight down to Cape Town. We don't seem to have a poor service delivery problem since the DA took charge!!!

      jowza - 2011-06-09 14:33

oh rayantigay.stal away from cape town.lots of gays there

      Gollywogman - 2011-06-09 14:33

Guys. Read these articles properly. They aren't marching because 'things' are going well. The article says that THE MARCH was going well. The march was going well, and the march is happening because OTHER things aren't going well. And on another note, this is the UDM protesting, not the ANC. I don't think these guys voted for the ANC. That's also in the article.

I laugh at articles like this now. You all deserve what you aren't getting. At least you are all going to "heaven"

      anthro45@24.com - 2011-06-09 14:00

The funny thing is, they got electricity. It was supplied to them as they demanded and as was promised. Now they still want it for free.

  • anthro45@24.com - 2011-06-09 13:57

And I suppose the electricity bills are paid up to date?

  • ProMalema100 - 2011-06-09 13:59

I bet you someone is behind these SD Protests, how can all of the sudden everyone take it to the streets? lol. someone is taking us for a ride here. I do not buy this for once. People do not vote and two weeks later start protesting country wide, osmeone who is against the ruling party is behind this, I am telling you.

      jowza - 2011-06-09 14:05

      Me thinks its the illuminati

      ray.antigay - 2011-06-09 14:34

Maybe the ANC is behind this. I think they've malipulated the voting results, and the people probably have a hard time understanding why the people who can't deliver are still in power!

      tryanything - 2011-06-11 19:37

DUM dum ProMalema100.If I tell you to vote for me first and then I will fix your service delivery problems that I didnt fix when you voted for me last time, and you believe me who is the Idiot??.

  • jowza - 2011-06-09 14:07

And the STUPIDS voted for the ANC just 2 weeks ago. This will continue to happen all over the ANC controlled country because all their election promises will amount to ZIP!
