Taxi driver Jacob Humphreys was found guilty of murdering 10 school children when his minibus was hit by a train at a level crossing at Blackheath outside Cape Town last year.
Cape Town - Four men were arrested in Woodstock, Cape Town, on Thursday morning for transporting pupils without operating licences, the transport department said.
A scholar transport operation was conducted at three schools - Holy Cross Primary, Mountain Road Primary and Zonnebloem Girls Primary School.
It was led by the transport and public works department, spokesperson Siphesihle Dube said in a statement.
Dube said it was not clear when the four would appear in court.
Authorities suspended four vehicles for faulty brakes, defective safety belts and unroadworthiness.
He said 11 driver licence-related fines were issued, and 10 cars were pulled over because of expired discs.
The cars included Toyota Ventures and minibus taxis.
