Water cuts in Soweto

Johannesburg - Soweto's water supply will be interrupted on Thursday next week, Johannesburg Water announced on Friday.
The interruption would affect Meadowlands zone 6, Heald Road, Forbes Road and Vincent Road in Meadowlands zone 8, Molope Street, and south of the old tailing dam.
The scheduled water cuts would last from 07:30 to17:30, Johannesburg Water said.
The reason for the water supply cut was that the company would be connecting a new pipe to reduce the number of pipe bursts in the area.
Johannesburg Water apologised to residents in the affected areas and undertook to have the interruption resolved as soon as possible.
Water tankers would be located around all affected areas, it said.
