Johannesburg - A man was killed when he was hit by a water tanker on Witkoppen Drive near the Main Road junction in Johannesburg on Saturday, paramedics said.

The man was crossing the road when he was struck by the truck, Netcare 911 spokesperson Jeffrey Wicks said.

"The force of impact saw the pedestrian thrown forward and the tanker passed over his body," said Wicks.

The man died on the scene.

Should've had more whiskey with that water!

Should fill the holes in your brain with whiskey. An innocent man has died tragically, and another man (the driver) is probably emotionally/psychologically wrecked and facing very harsh charges for what was probably a mistake, and not even one of his own. Time for jokes? Each to their own, perhaps, but my opinion/answer is a stern 'No'.
