Johannesburg - The British terrorism suspect commonly known as the "White Widow", Samantha Lewthwaite, gave birth to a child at an upmarket clinic in Johannesburg, it was reported on Friday.

Lewthwaite, who was then aged 26, gave birth to her daughter Surajah at the Genesis clinic, in July 2010, Britain’s Daily Telegraph reported. The girl was Lewthwaite’s fourth child.

The clinic is an exclusive upmarket facility that boasts eight private rooms with double beds, a mini bar and bathes for water births.

A man whose name was listed as Adam Omar accompanied Lewthwaite to each appointment.

Last month Interpol, acting at Kenya's request, issued an arrest notice for the 29-year-old British woman, not in connection with the deadly terrorist attack on Nairobi's Westgate Mall but over a 2011 plot to bomb holiday resorts in Kenya.
