Wife of Ugie principal murdered

2012-06-10 16:42

Johannesburg - The wife of a school principal has been murdered at Ugie in the Eastern Cape, the SABC reported on Sunday.

Police spokesperson Ursula Roelofse told the broadcaster that at least two people broke into the couple's home in Plein Street and stabbed both Ugie primary school principal Christof Gouws, and his 62-year-old wife Helena.

The wife did not survive. Her husband was admitted to the Maclear hospital.

Nothing was stolen from the house.

The police dog unit was searching for the suspects.

My condolences to the Gouws family nd nd prayin that the almighty put strings on the condition of our father Mr D Gouws. We the product of UHS r suffering nd furming wth anger.

  • wally.williams.148 - 2012-06-10 21:35

Why why why? The death penalty is not the cure, a change of heart definitely is! It is time for politicians to stop encouraging hatred and division; to stop reminding young ppl or should I say teach young ppl a one-sided part of our most repugnant past. I am not denying it existed, but we need our ppl to live in harmony and peace; to understand that there are differences in riches all over the world; to understand that we cannot take from others that which we did not earn; that no matter the history, we all worked to build this country to where it is today in one way or another; that all ppl's have done wrong to others; that we do not owe each other anything else but respect and loyalty. until our so-called leaders take up this challenge this will simply get worse. God be with his family, with this country, with its ppl.

It makes a change for anything that happens in the eastern cape to be published at all! Yes, perhaps Cele's shoot to kill in Gangsters Paradise Gauteng has caused the senseless killers to move south for a while. This sounds like a hit to me, someone was taking out someone in revenge for something. RIP to the victims and condolences to the friends and family. Hope they find who did it.
