Will Malema go to his hearing?
Johannesburg - The ANC Youth League (ANCYL) did not know whether its president, Julius Malema, has received a notice to appear in a disciplinary hearing on Monday, a spokesperson said on Sunday.
"If he has (received the notice) it's something I'm not aware of," said ANCYL spokesperson Magalene Moonsamy.
This follows a report by the City Press newspaper that Malema would not attend his disciplinary hearing scheduled for Monday.
Malema, according to the newspaper, said he was not aware of the hearing or the charges levelled against him.
However, the chairperson of the ANC disciplinary committee Derek Hannekom said Malema was expected to attend the hearing at the party's head quarters, Luthuli House in Johannesburg on Monday.
"I am not sure what Malema is saying. All I know is that he has been served with a notice and we expect him on Monday," he told the newspaper.
