Johannesburg - ANC struggle veteran Winnie Madikizela-Mandela has criticised the anarchy in Parliament, the SABC reported on Friday.

"Never in our dreams did we imagine that Parliament would be reduced to what we see today," she told the broadcaster.

She said that South Africa was bleeding and that members of parliament should respect one another.

"I don't think there's a single South African that's proud of what's going on in Parliament."

Madikizela-Mandela also said she hoped Economic Freedom Fighter's leader Julius Malema would return to the ANC.

"I hope to bring Julius, to bring him back home one day, before I sleep forever," she told the SABC.
