Woman appears for Mandrax possession
Johannesburg - A woman who was arrested at a road block after Mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of nearly R21 000 was found hidden under her seat, appeared in the Hankey Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, said Eastern Cape police.
Nobuntu Mtifi, 35, was released on R2 000 bail and would appear in court again on March 29, said Lieutenant Colonel Priscilla Naidu.
Mtifi was arrested with 260 mandrax tablets on Monday when Thornhill police set up a roadblock on the N2 near Van Stadens bridge.
The woman was with two other people in the vehicle heading for Jeffreys Bay, said Naidu.
