Johannesburg - A 36-year-old woman was arrested at OR Tambo International
Airport for possession of 2.9kg of cocaine, police said on Tuesday.
The Hungarian woman was arrested on Monday night after drugs concealed in roll-on
bottles were found in her possession, said national spokesperson Tumi Shai.
"She was from Sao Paulo and had travelled via Dubai," said Shai.
The woman was the second foreign national to be arrested at the Johannesburg
airport in three days, following the arrest of a man from Cape Verde on Friday
evening.
The 36-year-old, who was also travelling from Sao Paulo, was found with
2.1kg of cocaine wrapped around his body.
The two were expected to appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court to
face charges related to drug dealing and trafficking.
