Johannesburg - A woman was killed when the car she was travelling in crashed into a lamppost in Kingsway Road, Springs, on Tuesday evening, paramedics said.
Paramedics arrived on the scene to find two people critically injured and a third seriously injured, said Netcare911 spokesperson Jeffrey Wicks.
They were treated at the scene and taken to hospital, but one of the women died shortly afterwards.
