Woman killed in Johannesburg crash

Johannesburg - A woman has been killed and two people seriously injured in a car accident in Johannesburg, paramedics said on Saturday.

Netcare 911 spokesperson Jeffrey Wicks said a woman lost control of her vehicle on Ontdekkers Drive, near the Corlett Drive junction on Friday night.

Her car veered from the road and hit a palm tree, then rejoined the road and collided with another car.

She was trapped in the wreckage, and paramedics declared her dead on the scene.

The injured were treated on the scene then taken to Netcare Krugersdorp Private Hospital.
