This is exactly what I was scared off when we had a breakdown on the N3 from Durbs. Condolences, may the reckless driver be caught and put in jail!

      irma.white.9 - 2012-10-12 12:14

Who is to say that the driver was reckless? All the details are not printed- if he was traveling at a speed of 120kms per hour and she stepped out into the lane just to get out of her car, he wouldn't have been able to stop. They don't even mention if they stopped in the emergenc lane or if they were in the middle lane. RIP to the poor girl, but don't automatically think the bakkie is guilty of reckless driving.

It is a shame that White bakkie knocked down the young lady. Any information about what happened to that white bakkie and the driver

  • awicamb - 2012-10-12 11:56

From what I hear all of them were drunk.

      charlainc - 2012-10-25 09:51

you heard wrong, we had no alcahol, we were on our way to her mother, try not to be so inconsidirate next time

  • awicamb - 2012-10-12 12:10

And don't call the driver reckless when we don't know the full story. Accidents happen and it's really dark on that road in the evenings.

      charlainc - 2012-10-25 09:50

i agree with you, i was there, it was not dark yet, but the driver is also not to be prosecuted by the public if they do not know what happened, we forgave him and that is all that matters.

  • charlainc - 2012-10-25 09:49

People should not comment or even write a story if they do not have the true information, it disgusts me how media acts like vultures and twists stories so that they are true but some information is false. let me state, the driver stopped and waited with them until the police came, he aknowledged he was wrong, he was not drunk, it was not on purpose, we forgive, because that is what Siobhan would have wanted.
