Johannesburg - A Johannesburg court has heard how a Mozambican woman was tortured by her ex-boyfriend who kidnapped her and then brutally assaulted and tortured her.

The 32-year-old woman told how the man, an electrician from Mozambique, kidnapped her from her place of work and took her to the flat from which she had moved the previous day, reported Beeld.

They had previously lived here together for six years.

She said he undressed her, tied her hands and feet, then taped her mouth shut and fetched a clothes iron and soldering iron.

“He called my mother and said she had to hear how he killed me. He started burning me all over on my body.”

When he later drove her to his ex-wife, she managed to jump out of the car at a road block and get help.
