Johannesburg - A 13-year-old alleged victim of Johannes Jacobus Steyn, dubbed the "Sunday rapist", told the High Court, sitting in the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court in Alberton on Friday how he grabbed her, drove around with her and raped her.

"A man came from behind and grabbed me around my body and pushed a gun against my head," the girl said.

The girl was testifying in camera, as an order was given to protect her identity.

"I started screaming. He pushed me into the car... He pushed me under the dashboard," the girl said with emotion evident in her voice.

‘You will suffer’

She described how she tried to get out of the car, but it was locked.

He told her "as jy so aanhou gaan jy kak suster (if you keep behaving like this you will suffer, sister)", she testified.

Steyn is accused of murdering school girls Louise de Waal and Lazanne Farmer.

He is also charged with 11 counts of rape, 10 of sexual assault, 10 of kidnapping, one of attempted sexual assault, one of attempted kidnapping, and two of assault.

He pleaded not guilty to all 37 charges against him. The 11 girls Steyn allegedly attacked between 2008 and 2011 were aged between 11 and 18.

The girl, who was 11 at the time, said a man drove her to the veld and with a pocket knife removed her shirt before taking off her pants and underwear.

"He tried to kiss me, but I kept my mouth closed."

Ran through the bush to get away

The girl testified in detail how she was sexually assaulted.

"I told him, 'mister you are hurting me'. He told me, 'no, it is fun'."

Afterwards, the man blindfolded her, drove around and took her to what he said was an air field.

"He carried me to the top of a hill and said to wait there, he would be back."

She said she saw the roof of a house and when she heard the car door close she ran towards it.
"I ran through the bush towards the house."
