Johannesburg - The case against South Africa's "youngest billionaire" was postponed in the Orlando Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, said police.
Spokesperson Lungelo Dlamini said Mandla Lamba would appear again on June 8 when he was expected to bring a formal bail application.
Lamba faces 15 charges of fraud, theft and culpable homicide related to a 2007 car accident in which two people died.
He was arrested at Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton, Johannesburg on May 10.
Lamba claims to a have become a billionaire at the age of 25 from interests in gold, diamond and manganese mining.
