Cape Town - President Jacob Zuma is set to resume his duties next week after resting for a full week to recover from a gruelling pre-election schedule, his spokesperson said on Friday.

Mac Maharaj said in a statement that Zuma had been working from home and his first public engagement will be the State of the Nation address in Parliament on Tuesday.

He will also attend the Sona debate on 18 and 19 June as well as respond to the debate on the 20th.

Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa will address The New Age/SABC Business Breakfast Session on Wednesday, while ministers and deputy ministers will give media interviews in various languages in order to unpack the Sona for the public.
