Johannesburg - The presidency denied on Wednesday that
President Jacob Zuma had been admitted to hospital.
Zuma's spokesperson Mac Maharaj said the president had
merely gone for his annual medical check-up at three Durban hospitals.
"The president was given a clean bill of health by his
doctors," said Maharaj.
Members of the media started inquiring about Zuma's health
after a report on SAFM that he was in hospital in Durban.
"He does the routine check-up every year around this
time," said Maharaj.
Zuma was expected in Cape Town later on Wednesday.
"He has concluded his (medical) visits and will now
travel to Cape Town where he is to open the National House of Traditional
Leaders, among other duties," said Maharaj.
