Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma has cancelled his planned attendance at the Gupta wedding at Sun City on Thursday afternoon, Beeld reported.

This follows a furore about the Guptas private use on Tuesday of the Waterkloof air base to fly in wedding guests.

Zuma was meant to leave on board an air force Oryx helicopter at 14:00 from Swartkop air base to Sun City and attend the wedding ceremony.

Zuma will instead be attending a meeting in Congo on the situation in the Central African Republic.

President Zuma will be accompanied by International Relations and Co-operation Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane and State Security Minister Siyabonga Cwele.
