Bloemfontein - A collision involving two buses and a truck on the N8 near Bloemfontein left at least 35 people injured, paramedics confirmed on Wednesday.

ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak in a statement said a number of passengers were treated for minor to moderate injuries at the crash scene in Thaba Nchu.

"Paramedics and rescue services arrived on scene where they found two buses that appeared to have rear-ended each other. A truck was also involved in the collision," he said.

"Numerous people were found on the scene. Majority of the passengers from the buses were walking around."

Thirty five people were assessed and treated, while several of the passengers sustained no injuries.

A number of ambulances transported the patients to local hospitals and authorities were on the scene to investigate.
