Johannesburg – A man was killed after he rear-ended a car on the N1 north, near Rand Show Road, paramedics said on Friday.

Paramedics found the biker in the yellow lane of the highway on Thursday evening.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said debris from the motorbike was spread at least 100 metres across the scene.

The man had sustained numerous, fatal injuries and was declared dead on the scene.

Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
