Johannesburg - Two cousins accused of killing three of their relatives, including a six-month-old baby, and leaving them in a bathtub filled with boiling water, are expected back in court on Tuesday.

The two, aged 17 and 21, are due to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate's Court. They cannot be named.

Two of Thembi Letsoalo's daughters, her niece, and baby granddaughter were attacked, allegedly by the cousins, in her Katlehong home, on the East Rand, in December.

One of the daughters, Nthabiseng Letsoalo, 23, fought off the attackers and ran for help. She survived the attack.

Her sister Lerato Letsoalo, 18, cousin Priska Movit, 23, and Movit's six-month-old baby girl, Bokamoso, were killed. They were stabbed repeatedly and put into a bathtub filled with boiling water.

At their last appearance in March, two mothers attacked each other in the court.

One family member said the altercation started after the mother of one of the accused was told that had she started a feud between her family and that of the victims.

The State requested a postponement in order to receive the indictment. This did not sit well with the mother of one of the accused and she started attacking Letsoalo.
