Durban – A 12-year-old boy was knocked down and killed by a minibus-taxi in Durban on Friday afternoon, paramedics said.

He was chasing after a soccer ball on Booth Road, near the N2 bridge, when he was hit, said Rescue Care spokesperson Ceron Lennox.

Paramedics found his lifeless and severely injured body in the road. He was declared dead on the scene.

The police were investigating.
