Johannesburg - Emotional family members of the 10 ANC members killed in a bus crash started identifying their loved ones at the Germiston mortuary on Tuesday.

The families were taken to the mortuary to receive the bodies.

They were greeted by ANC Gauteng and Ekurhuleni leaders. They wiped away tears as they filed past Gauteng chairperson Paul Mashatile and Ekurhuleni mayor Mondli Gungubele.

One woman wailed as she made her way into the mortuary. Shortly after their arrival, two pathology vans drove in.

Umkhonto we Sizwe veterans stood at attention and saluted as the vans drove into the mortuary.

ANC leaders are expected to address media following the viewing of the bodies.
