Bloemfontein – A 14-year-old girl was robbed and raped near Bronville in the Free State, police said on Wednesday.

The girl was attacked on December 4 while she was walking to church, said police spokesperson Stephen Thakeng.

Thakeng said two men approached her with knives and forcefully dragged her to an open space between Bronville and Steyn 2.

The suspects raped the girl and fled with her cell phone. Thakeng said an identikit of one of the suspects was compiled.

“He is about 1.7m tall, slender, dark in complexion, between the age of 20 to 25. Both were speaking Sesotho.”

Anyone with information should contact Detective Constable Khabo Lephatsoe on 057 391 6186 during office hours or on 084 221 7545.
