Johannesburg - Gauteng Speaker Ntombi Mekgwe has warned ahead of the State of the Province Address (SOPA) on Monday that any disruptions will be dealt with by the book.

"I can’t organise a seating where it will be disrupted... but [if] it happens, then it’s not my plan - it's somebody else’s plan," she said.

Mekgwe said she would be using House rules to ensure that there were no disruptions during proceedings.

"We have rules that need to mitigate if someone disrupts proceedings. We will use the rules to ensure that everything is in order," Mekgwe told journalists.

Gauteng Premier David Makhura is expected to deliver his State of the Province Address at 11:00 at the Saul Tsotesti Sports Complex in Sebokeng.
