KZN motorist fined R40k for speeding and stripped of driver's licence

Durban – A speedster was on Monday fined R40 000 and had his driver’s licence suspended for twelve months at the Hibberdene Magistrate's Court in KwaZulu-Natal.

Road Traffic Inspectorate chief provincial inspector Aboo Aboobaker said the man was nabbed at around 9:10 on December 16 clocking 223km/h.

The 28-year-old was driving a C63 AMG Mercedes Benz when he was arrested on the N2 in Ifafa.
