Durban – Police have arrested two suspects wanted for various crimes, including attempted murder, in KwaZulu-Natal.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Shooz Magudulela, the arrests were made in the early hours of Monday morning with the help of members of the Umhlali K9 unit, Sundumbili detectives and the Durban special task force.

The suspects, aged 25 and 29, are allegedly linked to the attempted murder of a 36-year-old man at Mankenganeni.

The suspects have also been linked to the shooting of a 26-year-old man in KwaMashu. The victim was shot five times.

"Further investigations were conducted and it was established that one of the suspects was arrested for a robbery case committed in Greenwood Park area where a security guard was robbed of a firearm," Magudulela said in a statement.

The man was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment but was released on parole after serving four years.

They are due to appear in court soon for attempted murder.
