Durban - The KwaZulu-Natal Premier Senzo Mchunu on Saturday conveyed a message of sympathy to MEC Willies Mchunu, following the death of his wife Dudu Mchunu.

MEC Willies Mchunu is the MEC for Transport, Community Safety and Liaison.

Premier Mchunu said that it was with deep sadness that they received the tragic news of the passing of Mrs Mchunu.

“No amount of words can express our deepest sympathies to MEC Mchunu and the family for the pain and irreparable loss of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, aunt and a source of love that united the Mchunu family,” he said.

Mchunu said her resilience gave them a glimpse of hope that she would soon recover.

He said Mrs Mchunu was highly loved and respected for her humbleness and commitment to the family.

Mchunu added that the people of KwaZulu-Natal share the pain and anguish of her loss.

“On behalf of myself, my wife Cllr Thembeka Mchunu and family, my colleagues in the executive, all government employees and the people of KwaZulu-Natal - we wish to express our deepest condolences to MEC Mchunu and the entire family,” Mchunu said.
