Man dies from lightning strike while slaughtering cow

Mthatha - One man died and three others were injured when they were struck by lightning while slaughtering a cow in the Gqubeni village in the Eastern Cape on Friday afternoon.

Provincial health department spokesperson Sizwe Kupelo said the man "died instantly".

Paramedics rushed to the scene to take the injured men to hospital, Kupelo said.
