Durban – A man is expected to appear in the Bergville Magistrate’s Court on Monday for a murder he allegedly committed on Valentine’s Day, KwaZulu-Natal police said.

The 21-year-old was arrested near Emmaus on Saturday, police spokesperson Major Thulani Zwane said.

He was allegedly found in possession of a CZ pistol with 37 rounds of ammunition. He was facing charges of murder, and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Sozabile Dlamini, 49, was shot dead in Bergville on 14 February. His bullet-riddled body was found in bushes around 18:00 that day. Seven spent cartridges were found at the scene.
