2016-04-25 08:29

Cape Town - A man was killed when he crashed into a pillar on the N2 near Langa, Cape Town, on Monday morning, paramedics said.

Paramedics initially thought that several cars had been involved due to all the debris they found on the scene when they arrived shortly before 05:00, ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak said.

The man's car was ripped to pieces and he died on the scene. The cause of the accident was not yet known.

Several lanes of the highway were closed as law enforcement agencies investigated the crash.
