Durban - Police search and rescue technicians saved a 20-year-old man who fell down a cliff near the Denge informal settlement at Nagle Dam on Thursday.

It is understood he had fallen down the steep incline in the early hours of the morning.

Rescue technicians battled dense fog and heavy rain to rescue the man during an operation which took well over two hours.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Nqobile Gwala said that the stricken man had landed among bushes.

"He sustained minor abrasions and cuts to his face and body and was treated at the scene," she said.
