More tremors hit SA

Cape Town – More tremors have hit South Africa on Monday evening – this time it was felt in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Bloemfontein and Durban.

According the US Geological Survey, an earthquake was registered in Moijabana north west of Gaborone at 19:40.

A 27-year-old woman from Durban told News24: "My whole bed was shaking. It was so scary. I didn't know what was happening. Then the whole building was shaking. We heard about the tremor in Johannesburg this morning and now it's here!"

It was reportedly also felt in Bloemfontein.

It was also felt in Harare in Zimbabwe.

An earth tremor which hit parts of Gauteng and the North West on Monday morning was recorded at 4.6 magnitude. It originated near a gold mining area in Klerksdorp, in the North West.
