Cape Town – A man died and three more people were seriously injured when a bakkie fell from the R300 bridge onto the N2 highway in Cape Town on Saturday afternoon.

Life Healthcare said a passenger from the bakkie was found dead on the scene and one seriously injured person was trapped in the badly mangled wreckage. 

Cape Town Traffic Services spokesperson Maxine Jordaan told Netwerk24 one lane of the highway had to be closed while the scene was cleared.
