Port Elizabeth - Christopher Panayiotou, who stands accused of orchestrating the murder of his wife Jayde in April 2015, made a brief appearance along with his co-accused Sizwezakhe Vumazonke and Sinethemba Nenembe in the Port Elizabeth High Court today.

The three are facing charges including conspiracy to commit murder, murder and abduction.

Jayde was abducted from in front of her Stellen Glen complex in Kabega Park where she was allegedly forced into the boot of a hired vehicle and driven to a remote area near KwaNobuhle, where she was murdered.

It is alleged that Panayiotou approached a bouncer, Luthando Siyoni, who worked for him to hire a hitman, believed to be Vumazonke, to murder his wife. Siyoni has since turned state’s witness.

The case was postponed to August 25 for a pre-trial conference.

A forth accused, arrested last week, Zolani Sibeko, will appear again in the Port Elizabeth Magistrates Court tomorrow for his case to be transferred to the High Court.
