PE man killed in suspected gang-related shooting

Port Elizabeth - An alleged gang member was shot dead and a second injured after three suspects opened fire on them in Salt Lake, Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape police said on Monday.

Sean Berry, 30, and his friend were standing outside Berry's parent's house when they were approached by the three men, said Colonel Priscilla Naidu.

The three unknown men opened fire on them.

Naidu said Berry sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body and died on the way to the hospital.

His 34-year-old friend was shot twice. 

The suspects fled the scene on foot.

Naidu said the incident, which happened on Sunday evening, was believed to be gang related.

No one had been arrested. 

Police were investigating a case of murder and attempted murder.
