Cape Town - Quick action by the City of Cape Town’s fire services managed to contain a fire which broke out on a coach on a railway line near Woodstock on Friday morning.

Spokesperson Theo Layne said a team of firefighters responded to the blaze at 08:40 where the coach, parked along with about 20 others on a disused line, was found alight.

“They managed to extinguish it, with the damage limited to only one coach,” Layne said.

The cause of the fire had not yet been determined, and no indication of foul play had yet been found, he added.
