White River - The search for Annatjie Myburgh is continuing after she was allegedly hijacked and kidnapped two days ago, Mpumlanga police said on Friday.

Myburgh was on her way to work when she was allegedly attacked at her farm house in Curlews on Wednesday morning, Sergeant Gerald Sedibe said.

According to informers, an unknown number of suspects drove off with her in her Mitsubishi Pajero, registration number CHF 482 MP. Her glasses and two pangas were found at the gate.

"The K9-unit, over 200 members from the community, the flying squad and private security sectors have been searching for Myburgh since the day she went missing," Sedibe said.

The 53-year-old was reported missing after she never reported for work at a law firm in White River.

Her cellphone’s signal died before it could be tracked.

A reward of R31 000 has been offered to anyone with information about the case. Anyone with information about her whereabouts could call Captain Calvin Pule on 082-449-0334 or Captain Pieter Smit on 082-499-8361.
