Cape Town - Residents of the Waterberg District of Limpopo are advised to brace for a possible hail storm and strong winds on Monday night, the SA Weather Service has warned.

These conditions have been forecast between 20:00 and 21:00, forecaster Dipuo Tawana said on Monday afternoon.

Storms are already being experienced in the Capricorn and Sekhukhune regions, she said.

Earlier, severe thunderstorms were forecast for Gauteng.

"At the moment, it's cloudy in Gauteng, Mpumalanga and Limpopo. There are storms... developing," forecaster Bransby Bulo previously told News24.

Rain is expected over the next three days in Gauteng, Free State, North West, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal.
