A state of disaster has been declared in eight provinces as a drought continues across the country. In a statement, Minister for Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs Des van Rooyen, said the drought conditions experienced in most parts of the country were a result of natural phenomenon.

Former Paralympian Oscar Pistorius sits down in his first television interview since the night he shot and killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day 2013. Oscar, who has been found guilty of murder, will speak to investigative journalist, Mark Williams-Thomas, in a special one-off programme titled Oscar Pistorius: The Interview. It will air on Friday, 24 June at 21:00 on Britain’s ITV.
