Tshwane ANC members protest outside Shell House

Johannesburg - ANC members from Ward 24 in Tshwane descended on Luthuli House, the ruling party's headquarters in Johannesburg, to protest over candidate lists on Thursday.

The party members were protesting at the main gate, insisting on being given a chance to address party leaders.

Close to 100 members were holding up placards that read, "ANC don't choose a candidate for us", "Stop making Winterveld a dumping site", and "Let us know who is our candidate".

"They brought candidates we don't want. The community is not happy. They are burning schools, they are burning council houses. It's bad," one ANC member told News24.
