Tshwane metro cop nabbed in anti-graft operation

Pretoria – A Tshwane metro police officer was arrested for allegedly soliciting a bribe from an undercover officer on the Moloto road on Saturday, the Road Traffic Management Corporation said.  

The man allegedly asked for a R100 bribe from an undercover officer monitoring the conduct of his colleagues, spokesperson Simon Zwane said.

It was part of an operation by the RTMC's national anti-corruption unit. The unit was at work countrywide to ensure that officers and motorists obeyed the law.
