Port Elizabeth - Two men will appear in the Motherwell Magistrate's Court on Monday in connection with an attack on two American tourists in Port Elizabeth.

Netwerk24 reported that police found Texans Robert Howard Webb, 61, and Verna Antoinette Yocum, 67, tied up in the bushes near Koega on Wednesday, January 19.

Yocum was stabbed in the arm and Webb was physically unharmed.

They had stopped on the R334 from Steytlerville to Grahamstown to admire the scenery when two men overpowered them.

They were forced into their rental car and driven to an area near Koega where they were taken into the bushes and robbed.

They were tied up and left there.

A farmer saw the abandoned car and reported it to police, and a police air search found them about 1km away from the car.
