Cape Town - Murder accused Henri Van Breda is expected to appear in court with his girlfriend on drugs charges on Wednesday.

Van Breda is accused of killing his parents Martin, 54, and Teresa, 55, brother Rudi, 22, and of attacking his sister Marli at their home on the upmarket De Zalze golf estate in Stellenbosch on January 27, 2015.

The dead were struck with an axe and while Marli van Rensburg survived an attack on her, she has had extensive therapy and is still under curatorship. She suffers from retrograde amnesia and might not be able to remember any details from that fateful morning.

That case goes back to the Western Cape High Court on November 18 for a pre-trial hearing.

The trial date on the murder charges has been provisionally set for February 6.

However, it emerged in September that Van Breda and his girlfriend Danielle Janse Van Rensburg had been arrested for alleged possession of drugs while he was out on R100 000 bail.

This case was postponed and they were granted bail of R1 000 and R200 respectively with an instruction to return to court on Wednesday.
