Cape Town - The Western Cape High Court was reopened late on Wednesday morning following a bomb threat.

No explosives were found on site following a prank call at 09:45.

The court house was evacuated and the roads leading there were cordoned off.

No contraband was found following a two-hour sweep, provincial police spokesperson Captain FC Van Wyk said.

"The bomb disposal unit was on the scene and the building was declared safe," he said.

Police were still investigating and no arrests had been made.
