Cape Town – A woman was arrested at Cape Town International Airport after 10 parcels of cocaine were discovered in her luggage, Western Cape police said on Monday.

The 35-year-old woman, from Johannesburg, arrived in Cape Town on Saturday but her luggage was delayed and she collected her bags on Sunday morning, said Lieutenant Colonel Andrè Traut.

Border police confronted her and searched through her belongings, finding the 1.1kg of cocaine.

She would appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court once charged.
