Johannesburg - A woman, believed to be in her fifties, has been found murdered at her home in Helderkruin, Roodepoort, police said on Thursday.

The woman was strangled and her hands tied up, Captain Kay Makhubela said.

She was found by her husband under a duvet next to the bed on Tuesday evening.

Makhubela said the suspects had stolen a cellphone.

No arrest had yet been made.

Makhubela said CCTV footage captured by the next door neighbour showed the suspects climbing over the wall and breaking into the house, and would be used in the investigation.
